Mary-Gail King is an award winning artist and creativity consultant. She makes authentic connections through her art, her teaching, and her coaching. In her art she explores her subject matter through direct experience. In her teaching and coaching she helps others explore their art and integrate creativity into their lives. King’s focus is on integrating various expressions of creativity by partnering with musicians, dancers, and thespians.
She is an Artist in Residence at Studio Channel Islands, studied art and interior design at Meredith College in Raleigh, NC and has a BA in Communication Arts and Marketing from the University of South Alabama. She has painted along the Central and Southern California Coasts since 2001 and is included in both corporate and private collections throughout the United States and Europe.
One recent large scale project was a commission for the 20th anniversary of the New West Symphony. She was a featured artist for their March 2015 100th anniversary of Gustav Holst’s The Planets. Currently she is working with the Rubicon Theatre as an Artist in Residence. She has done exhibitions on The Other Mozart, King Lear and Baby Dance: Mixed among others.
